The Kimball Junction area is situated at the entrance to Park City where I-80 and Highway 224 intersect in the Snyderville Basin area. It borders the north and south side of I-80, as well as the east and west side of highway 224. Approximately 5-15 minutes from the 3 major ski resorts in the area – Canyons, Park City, and Deer Valley, Kimball Junction is still just a short 25 minute commute to Salt Lake City. Kimball Junction is rich with amenities including sweeping views of the Swaner Nature Preserve and Utah Olympic Park with access to Redstone Center. The Swaner Nature Preserve consists of almost 1300 acres, an eco-center, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing areas. Redstone Center consists of the Newpark Hotel Resort Condominiums, Newpark Townhomes and Fox Point Townhome developments. Amenities within the area include retail shops, restaurants, two grocery stores, movie theaters, offices, and a bowling alley. Within walking distance is the Snyderville Basin Recreation Center, a 48,000 square foot facility consisting of a fitness center, indoor track, batting cages with pitching machines, golf practice cages and an indoor turf field. Just north of I-80 lies Blackhawk Station and Trout Creek which consists of single family homes and Canyon Creek Club, a condominum complex consisting of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. These communities are close to hiking trails, streams, and open space allowing residents easy access to the Park City outdoor lifestyle.
