Since 1823 the global headquarters for Christie’s, the world’s oldest fine auctioneer, has been located on King Street in St. James. James Christie made the first sale in London on December 4, 1766 and the brand continues to sell fine art, jewelry, wine, furniture and real estate in London.

Matthew and Terry Sidford, two agents at Jess Reid – Christie’s International Real Estate, had the pleasure of visiting London and the Christie’s International Real Estate and Art Auction House headquarters in London.

The Sidford’s met with Joachim Wrang-Widen, the Director of Affiliate Services for Christie’s International Real Estate. They discussed the value, benefits and potential of Jess Reid – Christie’s International Real Estate’s co-branding with the long-standing international company.

They had the honor of touring the Christie’s Art Auction House that has been in the same building since 1823 and got to admire the latest art and silver available for sale. “One of the best parts was meeting Collin, the doorman”, said Terry Sidford, “ he has been with Christie’s for over 25 years and he knew everyone, it really made Christie’s, as a whole, feel very authentic and real.”
